Appoved publishers page displays:

Incorrect table name 'ox_rm_affiliates '

Currently no approved publishers and table does exist.

Pending publishers seems to be fine.

Not sure why this went unanswered, recent email problems.

The approved publishers page is included in /openx/www/admin/plugins/RevMax/templates.

It can be edited to show any text or fileds you choose. I believe the above to be a typo, it should be RM_ where is rm_ it should also be RM_pendingpubs, or RM_publishers and not affiliates, depending on version.

Yes there is / was indeed.

Again, I am working feverishly on a totally new release. It will be announced when available.

Again, Revmax has been in constant development since phpadsnew, as you know things change weekly, with phpadsnew, openads, openx, whatever it may be after microsoft...

This has caused many bugs to come and go over this time. Of which I (singular) am going Thur line by line now and fixing, and making RevMax a true "plugin" and not outside of OpenX as it has had to be in the past.

Let me go on again to say, to you, I am so sorry life keeps creeping into this project. I have just recently bought a home that I am TOTALLY remodeling. This week it was a new bathroom floor, a trip to emergency and 6 new stitches in this typing finger. You may have also noted I have a website or two, there's customer support, installs and such I need to attend to, to buy the lumber and blades to cut said finger with.

At this point however, rc1 is a dead issue, totally incompatible with pr1 so a waste of time to go back.
You can find this duplicate field within /plugins/etc/RevMax/RevMax.xml and remove it if it is really a nuisance right now. In the new release there wont be much configuration at all other than the email. Just one of the many changes. I agree the urls were a mess. I didn't constant anything, whenever I added something it was simply added. There are no urls to be entered in any of the four payment processors in pr1.

for paypal (rc1 and prior) or testing it is simply www.* however with return urls it is http://
see configuring paypal : http://btdsoft.com/installing-revmax-for-openx-26/
Yes I agree, very confusing, 2.6 , 2.8. Just remember RevMax has been in continual development and a lot of the settings have not changed, so writing a new configuration page would be simply renaming that and prior post. MOST ALL post in category RevMax How To are relevant to current RevMax version.
Please disregard titles and click a link.

Really sorry if I seem rude, honestly don't mean to be. The "bug" is apparent in the demo also. As mentioned,I have been at this awhile, I usually work with purchasers on install and configuration of which you will have none of, I usually catch these things then and fix them on install.

I have attached a file that does not have it and will update the package again now. I will be announcing a beta testers program shortly, perhaps then you will give me more insightful comments, and help further the development of RevMax.

if using attached file, rename to RevMax.xml removing .txt

You did see my other post where I have offered to fix this corrupted version of OpenX you are using havent you ?

It looks like there is a small bug in the latest version (4.0.3-RC1) in the  paypal configuration section (www/admin/plugin-settings.php?group=RevMax&parent=RevMax) where the item name of

'Admin eMail' appear as both first and third entry.

Can you clarify this and provide any documentation if needed. Getting the Paypal settings right is already challenging (especially with the paypal sandbox) without any extra confusion.

Dont have a lot of time to search the boards over there, and am only aware of personal encounters or ones I have been contacted to fix.

You may consider as for me and others with the new release, there seems to be a permissions bug built in.

/lib/ox/plugin/PluginManager.php
lines:
52: //define('OX_PLUGIN_DIR_WRITE_MODE', 0755); /*correct for shared, commented out*/
53: define('OX_PLUGIN_DIR_WRITE_MODE', 0777);

lib/OA/Upgrade/EnvironmentManager.php
Line:
238: $recurseWritable = false;

throws to screen: "openx file permission errors detected. these may impact the accurate delivery of your ads, see the debug.log file for the list of unwritable files"

No idea exactly what you experienced, however it may be possible if incorrect permissions, or OpenX believes they are incorrect, they wont be moved.

I do believe also somewhere over there someone said remove and re install all plugins. Seems logical and a fix for permissions problems.

If you like you can email me a copy of your db, out of curiosity I will try a upgrade here, and email it back if successful, if not I will have a better understanding of the problem perhaps. No fee.

The latest package can be downloaded from your purchase link for up to 12 months after purchase, up to 20 times. If you need more than 20 downloads let me know.

Still very curious. What openx upgrade issue did you encounter?

Here's a link to a post about the issue on the openx forum Upgrade 2.8.0 > 2.8.4, One or more plugin files couldn't be located, check the install.log (my username is Daniel B). As the guy says there are a number of similar looking problems described in other threads.

Anyway, with no solution to the 2.8.1 upgrade in site, I've decided to have a crack at installing this on 2.8.1. How do I get hold of the latest update?

Its using ipn currently.

I am a bit behind but trying hard to get another version out, including 2checkout payments, with a lot of mods and improvements.

I am currently building it more "open source" (non encrypted) during the payment process, with,  I hope, the ability for most to easily add other methods or providers. I don't have any real plans to do pro just yet, at least until I have developed a payment mechanism for publishers, which I expect will happen around the same time.

You can get on the updates email list, on the home page. I will try to make sure I get a email out to everyone announcing the newest version soon.

Hi, can't tell from the demo, does this work with PayPal Pro so we can process payments within the site?

Thanks,
Patrick

Thanks for this. By the time this patch was out I had uninstalled RevMax before doing the upgrade as per your advice. So before I reinstall it and go through all the steps required to set it up - can you please confirm that this update you speak of specifically fixes this issue with the 'prepend' column. I like to help when I can but at the moment I don't have the time to assist with testing this product. So if you aren't sure then let me know. Should I wait for the 'next release' you are speaking of instead?

Yes again, RevMax banner functions now rely on OpenX functions and not unique scripting.

This was the original design when I began RevMax with phpadsnew some years ago, and OpenX decided to rename functions regularly so it was unreliable. I wrote custom scripting, and of course they then decided to change the database with every minor release.

I am hoping now with the plugin interface, perhaps they wont be in such a rush to change and rename functions, and actually let people build dependable plugins.

You can Wait if you like. If you have data, the upgrade process works and all data is saved, so you should suffer no loss. If you still have it installed, simply go to plugins, and import code. This will update the necessary files. If new, simply install.

I am totally redoing RevMax now, to attempt again to make it forward compatible, and in so doing, adding new features such as delivery limitations. This is expected out within the next week. The upgrade process should be seamless, and so not an issue, with any currently installed versions of RevMax.

Still very curious. What openx upgrade issue did you encounter?

Just so you know I tried upgrading to 2.8.4 but it didn't work. The problem I experienced seems to be fairly common on the opens forums but nobody seems to have a reliable solution. So it looks like I'm stuck with 2.8.1 for a while. Any chance you could try and get RevMax to work on that version?
What OpneX uprade problem is that? Perhaps I can be of some help.

FIXED: I should have notified you, the last update did fix this issue.
http://btdsoft.com/banners-compatibility-resolved/
I just always assume people will see the updates when they log into
RevMax within OpenX.

The next release will fix any multiple payment script versions.
Hopefully this will end any past / future compatibility issues.

Let me know if you need help.
Mike
